About Us

When I was a child, I wanted a "K9 Police Dog." I was later informed that the breed was a German Shepherd. Thankfully, my wife, Jos, was fully on board with adopting the dog of my dreams.  She had grown up around dogs from chihuahuas to mastiffs. This has made her fearless to a fault when it comes to animals. Before she met me, due to being a dentist, she did not have time for a dog and she missed having one. In my research prior to adopting Athena, I knew shepherds were smart and needed a job or else could easily be a terror in my own home.  This led my wife and I to learning all we could and implementing those techniques with Athena and later Echo.  We take a balanced approach to dog training with 95% positive reinforcement. We hope to share all our tips and tricks with you.
